About us
Overseas Volunteering Expedition (OVE)is a committee under the Special Projects wing of NTU's Welfare Services Club. OVE began its journey in 2003 when a group of NTU undergraduates came together to set up a committee to provide students with opportunities to extend their worldviews through travelling overseas to extend volunteering efforts. In 2004, OVE transfigured its goals to focus on extending philanthropic efforts beyond Singapore and for volunteers to explore community service together in a new environment alongside cultural exchange. To date, the outreach of OVE's volunteering efforts has extended to countries including Taiwan, Thailand, the Philippines, Cambodia and Laos.

OVE'12 was initiated with the following four visions:

1. To promote the spirit of volunteerism and instil the passion for helping others in youth volunteers
2. To advocate the cause and meaning of overseas volunteering
3. To ensure projects we embark on overseas have the possibility of continuity so as to ensure practicality and a more lasting impact on the lives of our beneficiaries
4. To create a close-knit, spontaneous and committed team of volunteers who can work together as a united team towards the common goal of helping others
